I’ve cried at least One Litre Of Tears
The latest Japanese series that I have watched recently is called 1 Litre of Tears and its so far one of the best movie that I have ever watched. This movie is about a girl who was diagnosed with a disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration when she was 15 years old, and was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25 years old.
The plot is based on a true story of a Japanese girl named Kito Aya. She wrote all her experiences in her diary until she was unable to hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life and by writing a diary helps her to remind herself to not give up easily. She shed tears many times but at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family, friends and boyfriend.
I have been watching the movie and it gets sadder than it has been so far and sometimes I felt like I can’t go on anymore. As I watched the movie, my tears flowed after almost every episode as I questioned myself, “What would I do if I were Aya?” That’s probably a bit exaggerated but anybody who’s watched it know what I mean and it’s really is SAD. Its stories like these always remind me that I am lucky to be alive and that’s not such a bad thing, now is it?
Aya’s diary “I Litre of Tears” was published after her death, because of its inspiring and courageous message of, “Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing.” So far, over 18,000,000 copies of her diary have been sold. I have the full movie in my hard disc now and if anyone wants to borrow it, you are most welcome but make sure to return it alright? J
Anyways, click here for the translated version of her diary and get a lil inspiration from it. Enjoy…
